Robert Winsor, Esq. Care Kidder, Peabody & Co.,
Boston, Mass.,
February 27, 1888
Dear Sir: -- Your favor of the 18th inst., is received.
We are at present preparing a prospectus of our street car system, with the intention of bonding it for $250,000.00. As soon as it [unknown] prepared I will send you a copy, which will give you all the information you ask for. We, however do not care to dispose of any of our stock feeling it important to retain control of it in connection with our other enterprises. We intend to introduce cable system just as soon as the present system now being tried in Newark, N.J. is declared a failure of success. We shall, also bond the railroad we are building across the Beach, and which will extend around the Bay of San Diego, through National City, to San Diego. This will be a very fine investment, and we hope your bond market will have recovered from its present condition by the time we are ready to bond the road.

Nothing would please us better than to form a connection with your house, so we can place our securities through you, and we would see that you received a liberal commission for so doing.
