Jones, Harry E.
Jones writes to thank John and Jane Adams for sending a package, and comments on conscription at home: "This makes me very sad for I had hoped that somebody would be spared this." He talks about life in Germany and European attitudes, referring to articles in the April 16 Time Magazine, "Battle of Germany: You Can't Understand" and "Plain People: Gertie & the G.I.s."
