Jones, Harry E.

Perelman in the December 16, 1944 issue of the New Yorker, "Farewell, My Lovely Appetizer." Soldiers are "sweating out" (anxious about) whether they will join the war in the Pacific while they seldom have electricity for jazz on the radio.
