Jones's workdays last 18 hours, so he has little time to write letters. He writes about his camp in Normandy and says he is glad the Adams's were able to see his wife, Ruby. He also says he looks forward to returning to San Diego and "reading or hearing the lecture on San Diego Literature." He worries about embarrassing errors in speaking French
