Jones writes to enclose a clipping from The Stars and Stripes, an Army newspaper for servicemen. A photocopy of the news clipping shows an arrow pointing to a photograph of actor Ann Sheridan. Jones also writes that they are suspended in a waiting stage, but "nobody knows yet just what that is or when it will be, but whatever it means [they] are waiting for it."
