F.S. Ecker, Esq.,
San Diego, Calif.,

Dear Sir:-
I find we have between 8000 and 9000 quail frozen, which will run us for the balance of the season. If it is not a matter of too serious import to you, I should like to call off the regular hunters who are hunting for the hotel, after the first of the month.
I have given instructions to the hotel, to give you credit for all the quail that have been brought in by the different hunting parties, less what they have made presents of or taken away with them. This I think will amount to considerable and go to your credit.
There will be an average of from three to four hunting parties per week who will want to go shooting, and all the quail they kill, in addition to the price they pay you for the services of your man and munitions they may get, will go to your credit. If you can arrange it about as outlined above, after the first of the month, kindly advise.
Yours truly,

E.S. Babcock
