The Cabrillo Bridge (Puente de Cabrillo), at the west entrance, was built for the Panama- California Exposition of 1915, and still carries traffic on e El Prado street in 2013. Its designers were Frank Phillips Allen, Jr. (1881-1943), and Thomas B. Hunter, with construction and opening in 1914. On the left beyond the west entrance arch (at the right) are the California Building (now San Diego Museum of Man) and the California Tower, also built for the 1915 Exposition, with the Administration Building just to the left and in front of the entrance arch.
