The theme of the yearbook this year is Aztec, which, the Foreword says, "altho not officially adopted, is fast becoming traditional." In the "State College History," the student body is referred to as "The Aztecs." The image featured on the flyleaf under the heading "Ex Libris" is that of Quezalcoatl, the Aztec god in the form of a feathered serpent, with other surrounding images. The "Tablet to the Sun" illustration that looks like an engraving between the title page and the table of contents is a copy of the Palenque Maya Temple Sun Tablet Sculpture Relief, somewhat rearranged, truncated on the sides, and redrawn.
