Editor: Kennedy, Robert
The theme is "A Pageant of Progress," starting with images of San Diego State from 1897. This year the sculpture of "The Aztec" or "Montezuma" was received, dedicated, and unveiled on Founder's Day, May 2, with photographs of sculptor Donal Hord (1902-1966), the sculpture, and other Founder's Day and Open House activities. The sculpture (with its creator) was also shown as the first "Personality" of the "outstanding campus personalities of 1937" on page 122. The Aztec Bowl was dedicated near the beginning of this academic year, October 3, 1936, with a football game. This copy is imprinted with the name of "Pres. Walter R. Hepner."
