The traditional portrait of President Walter R. Hepner (served 1935-1952) in this annual has him holding blueprints in front of an architect's rendering of the Montezuma Mesa campus. The various classes are characterized on page 24 as "The Blushing Frosh," "The Sadist Soph" (shown with a paddle for hazing freshmen), "The Studying Junior," and "The Mighty Senior" (with mortarboard and sheepskin).
