"Monty Zuma," introduced as the "great-great-great descendant of the ancient Aztec ruler," is the theme for this year's annual, arriving from "his abode on Black Mountain" (Cowles Hill or Mountain) to mediate between ancient and modern. The dedication to "the men of the air" on page 5 is beside an aerial view of the campus. This was the year the Open Air Theater (also called "Greek Theater") was finished and dedicated, with a photograph of the dedication from above the stage, a picture of the unfinished stage, and another of the bleachers.
