This year's annual has a two-page spread of an aerial view of the campus. It is dedicated to Dean Arthur G. Peterson, "who did much for San Diego State College in his twenty-four years of service..." In this year there is a "huge Frosh [freshman] class...," but in the senior class, women still outnumber the men as they did during World War II-- only 23 out of 102 were men. This is the "first large-sized book since 1942." After a "long war-time layoff," the pep band was reconstituted, but the college's track team suffered from "a manpower shortage when full postwar athletics were resumed this year."
