William Tascher on "Beau Geste" set, 1940

William Tascher stands in a shirt during filming of the parody of "Beau Geste." Much of it was filmed at the same location as the Paramount Studios movie, on the abandoned set of Fort Zinderneuf in the desert near Yuma. (The exact location is an archeological dig and may not be disclosed.) Tascher's fraternity, Sigma Lambda, sponsored the only three showings, at his college, San Diego State.
