The battlements of the Paramount Studios' Fort Zinderneuf set located near Yuma were still standing when students at San Diego State filmed a parody of "Beau Geste" there. (The exact location is an archeological dig and may not be disclosed.) For more information see Frank Thompson's "The Lost Remake of Beau Geste," 2013.
