This flyer invites the general public to the Leon Williams Room at the San Diego State University Library to hear veteran Lester Tenney speak about his experience of the second world war. Following the title "World War II in the Pacific," Tenney is listed with his Ph.D. (from University of Southern California) as being a "survivor of the Bataan Death March," along with a short description: "Did the atom bomb end the war? Learn about being a prisoner of war, PTS [post-traumatic-stress syndrome] after WW2, and more from a man who experienced the largest global conflict of the last century firsthand." The 45-minute lecture was followed by a "reception." At the bottom, this black-and-white document explains that "This lecture is part of the library's Veteran Success Lecture Series sponsored by the Aztec Parents" and gives a photo credit to "John Gastaldo, San Diego Union Tribune, April 20, 2012."
