Editor: Ellison, J. Milford
This is "Volume xxx" of the yearbook, dedicated to Charles E. Pearson, Dean of Men. Mention is made of an "Aztec sticker" on automobiles, and "the Aztec Spirit." Most of the yearbook sections have "Aztec" in them, such as "Aztec Activities," and the artistic theme is Aztec, including the raised Aztec figures on the cover. An aerial view is comprehensive of the entire region around Montezuma Mesa, picturing the progress of the "building plan," complete "except for the physical education unit," due in a year. Roads and landscaping were also still to be finished, and a second 10-year plan was in progress. Dean Ada Hughes Coldwell came back from "a year's leave of absence," until illness caused her to withdraw. This was the first year of Scripps Cottage, and there are photographs of Ellen Scripps and the cottage, and an account of its origins. There is an architect's drawing of the "New Physical Education Building" (later Exercise and Nutritional Sciences).
